History
1998
In response to increasing health care regulations, MedAssurant developed focused, proprietary, industry-leading data tools to aggregate and validate unique disparate pieces of information from medical facilities. The scale and capabilities of these systems were expanded over the ensuing years as our client base grew to dozens of delivery systems across as many states.
2003
The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal government and various State Departments of Health introduced initiatives to better measure health plan and provider quality and performance. All of these initiatives focused on the health of the individual and required new insight into available data. To help health plans, employers and regulatory agencies address these initiatives, MedAssurant made significant investments into information technology adding advanced HEDIS® quality assessment services, pharmaceutical study support tools, and a custom medical case and record abstraction infrastructure.
2004
MedAssurant launched a widely expanded portfolio of health care data aggregation, analysis, validation, and reporting toolsets. The market embraced these data-driven solutions and MedAssurant grew in viral fashion across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia.
